The main offenders
The High Roller Observation Wheel — $30 for a 30-minute rotation with mediocre views. Skip and pay $12 to get to Eiffel Tower Paris viewing deck instead. The M&M's/Coca-Cola stores — retail dressed as attractions. The Big Elvis show — it's fine but it isn’t the Elvis you’re picturing. Any 'World's Largest' something — usually isn’t. Gordon Ramsay Burger — solid but a $28 burger among 200 better options. Fremont Street ziplines at peak crowds — 45-minute wait for a 90-second ride.
The debates
Bellagio Fountains: not overrated, still magic, watch from the Cosmopolitan's Chandelier Bar balcony. Cirque shows: KA and O justify the $150-plus, most others don’t at 2026 prices. The Sphere: worth it for U2/Postcards, skip the generic 'Sphere Experience' film. Buffets: worth it only at Bacchanal and Wicked Spoon. Nightclubs: massively overrated if you’re over 30 or paying full cover — go to a good cocktail bar instead (Herbs and Rye, Velveteen Rabbit, The Dorsey).

Questions, answered
Is the Grand Canyon skywalk day trip worth it?
Grand Canyon West with the Skywalk is a 2.5-hour drive each way and costs $65 to $95 plus glass-bridge upcharge. Most visitors regret not driving the extra 1.5 hours to the South Rim, which is dramatically better.
What's the most overrated Vegas restaurant?
Anything with 'the Strip's most Instagram-able' in the marketing. The food is styled, not cooked. Go to Lotus of Siam (Thai) or Esther's Kitchen (Italian, Arts District) instead.
